I've tended to use it when my other raw converter(s) couldn't quite cut it. I've maintained a copy of PhotoLab along with the add-on Viewpoint to use with my other cameras primarily because of their lens corrections.

Hopefully once beyond beta PhotoLab will be one of the better raw processors for X-Trans - more choice is good.ĪNYTHING ELSE GOOD? You get access to DXO's highly respected lens corrections assuming you use a lens they have in their database. WHAT'S GOOD: They're calling it "beta" and I can see that's appropriate, but it looks like they've got a handle on the problems of demosaicing the X-Trans CFA. I've been poking at PL5 with RAF files every day for a week now. I might have been excited at the news a decade ago - now not so much.
